Jean Duchesneau
President of the Papillon Foundation

Mr. Duchesneau embarked on his professional journey as a police officer in Montreal. Driven by an entrepreneurial spirit, he established his first garage in 1984. Through unwavering determination and a commitment to exceptional customer service, he transformed his business into a beacon of success. A dedicated philanthropist, Mr. Duchesneau initially engaged with the Papillon Foundation as a volunteer and donor before assuming a role on the board of directors. His passion for improving the lives of individuals with disabilities propelled him to the position of President. Motivated by compassion and generosity, he strives to ensure that every child with special needs receives the support they deserve. Highly devoted, Mr. Duchesneau invests significant time and effort in guiding the organization toward best practices. His outstanding contributions were recognized with the Meritorious Service Medal by the Governor General of Canada in 2017.
Louis Coutu

Retired, Pharmaceutical Sector
Mr. Louis Coutu dedicated over 30 years of his professional life as Vice President of Pharmaceuticals at Groupe Jean Coutu. Now retired, his involvement with the Papillon Foundation is remarkable. He has served on the board of directors for 35 years and currently holds the position of Chair. In recognition of his commitment, generosity, and compassion for individuals with disabilities, the foundation’s annual golf tournament has been named the Louis Coutu Golf Classic.
Alexandre Sami

Alexandre Sami is a partner at the Montreal office of Gowling WLG. His practice focuses primarily on construction law and commercial litigation. He is recognized as a leader in dispute resolution by Legal 500 Canada and in construction law by Best Lawyers in Canada.As a former counselor at Camp Papillon, the Foundation has always held a special place in his heart. Having witnessed and experienced the Foundation’s impact on individuals living with disabilities, he is thrilled to continue being part of the team dedicated to fulfilling its mission.
