Camp Papillon Opens Its Doors: An Inclusive Day to Discover a Unique Place
Camp Papillon invites people living with disabilities, their families, and all those who support or care for them in their daily lives to come and enjoy a memorable day at its Open House, taking place on Saturday, August 9, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., at its enchanting site in Saint-Alphonse-Rodriguez.
Proudly organized by the participants of Camp Papillon’s Work Integration Program for people with disabilities, this event offers the general public an opportunity to discover the camp’s environment, explore its many adapted activities, and try them out in a safe, inclusive, and welcoming atmosphere.
“The Open House is more than just a visit: it’s an opportunity to experience what campers experience every summer, to meet our team, and to see how everything is designed to make everyone feel at home,” explains Marie-Josée Morasse, director of Camp Papillon.
A Wide Range of Activities to Enjoy
The day’s activities include guided tours of the site, adapted watercraft (kayak, canoe, paddle board), water games, swimming, climbing, inflatable games, and an introduction to adapted water skiing, an activity made possible through collaboration with the Adaptive Sports Foundation.
Visitors are encouraged to bring their swimsuit, their lunch, and their good spirits! A canteen ($) will also be available on-site.

This day is for anyone who lives or works with a person with a disability. Whether you want to discover the camp’s services for the first time or better understand the environment experienced by a loved one, Camp Papillon welcomes you with open arms, ready to build connections and answer your questions.
