$545,000 Raised by The Louis Coutu Golf Classic

The 30^th Louis Coutu Golf Classic, held on September 23 at Le Mirage Golf Club, raised a net total of $544,843, including $53,000 from the interactive auction. With this result, the event is now nearing the symbolic milestone of $6 million raised since it was first held, a major achievement for the Papillon Foundation, which has been supporting people living with disabilities and their families for 95 years.

Two leaders united for one cause

“My brother Frédéric, who lives with cerebral palsy, experienced unforgettable moments at Camp Papillon. The Papillon Respite Services offered my parents invaluable support. It is a privilege for me to give back to a cause that transforms lives,” said Alexandre Bilodeau, Honorary Co-Chair and two-time Olympic medalist.

His fellow Co-Chair, Jean-Michel Coutu, President, The Pharmacy Division of METRO, added: “Its mission of inclusion and mutual support deeply resonates with my values and with those of our pharmacy network, which is mobilized year after year for this essential cause.”

A unifying and inclusive event

On the course, the event brought together more than 300 participants from Quebec’s business community. At the 18^th hole, Michel, Patrick, and Miguel, three ambassadors and users of the Papillon Foundation’s services, welcomed all participants with humor and warmth. They chatted with the golfers and helped them with their approach shots, offering everyone a friendly and inclusive experience.

30 years of solidarity

“This 30^th edition represents much more than an anniversary: it reflects the loyalty of our partners and the tangible impact we have together in the lives of people living with disabilities,” said Suzy Guérin, Executive Director of the Papillon Foundation.
