Camp Papillon Cancels Its Open House Event

Camp Papillon announces the cancellation of its Open House, which was scheduled to take place on Saturday, August 9, 2025, in Saint-Alphonse-Rodriguez.

The decision follows a fire that occurred during the night of August 4 to 5, resulting in the loss of Le Lions chalet, one of the many buildings on the campgrounds. Thankfully, no one was injured, and the swift response of the team on site and the firefighters helped contain the situation quickly and effectively.

“Although the rest of the site was not affected, organizing an event like the Open House is simply no longer logistically possible under the circumstances. That’s why we have made the decision to cancel,” explains Marie-Josée Morasse, Director of Camp Papillon.
